IQRA Primary Academy

IQRA Academy is a successful community primary school located in the heart of Manningham, Bradford. It is three-form entry, including a nursery, and provides more than 660 pupils with an excellent standard of education. 

In line with the Trust, the academy’s ethos is one of high expectations and mutual respect, where each pupil knows they are valued and well cared for. IQRA is an outward looking school with a commitment to ensuring it makes a meaningful difference to children's lives. IQRA’s broad and balanced knowledge-rich curriculum sparks pupils’ curiosity and creativity, equipping them with the skills to analyse the world around them and make a positive contribution to society. Opportunities to build cultural capital are also embedded throughout the curriculum, helping pupils to connect the dots with their learning and enjoy new, stretching, and inspiring experiences. 

Together, the curriculum and the academy’s 21st century learning environments – including a new food science laboratory, art studio and science laboratory – ensure that children experience learning that raises their aspirations and enables them to fulfil their potential throughout their educational journey and into adulthood.  

IQRA Academy has a fantastic track record of educational excellence. This includes achieving strong academic outcomes through SATs results and obtaining prestigious accreditations such as the Good Schools Sports Mark, the Music Mark, and the Quality Mark for English and Maths. Pupils have also been praised for creating innovative STEM solutions to real-world problems, winning the National Primary Innovation Award from the Business of Science Conference 2022.
